Hi All! I'm Stephanie (30) and my partner is Heidi (31). We are TTC our first! We are pretty new at all of this, and are so hopeful to become mommies soon! We are in our first, very long, tww, only 2dpi. We did ICI at home. Hoping and praying for beginners luck, because waiting is SO. HARD. We are so excited to follow your stories on here and share ours! Nice to meet you!

    Hello everyone :)

I’m new to posting but not new to this site. I discovered this site three years ago when I first became interested in using donor sperm and has stalked it ever since lol. I had submitted my paperwork back then but changed my mind about going this route. Well, fast forward to now. I have submitted my online paperwork and plan to TTC in April. I’m 30yrs old, already a mother to one, and single. I decided that I’m no longer waiting around for Mr. Right to have another child.

Hello! My name is Christine, and my husband is Nathan. We tried ttc naturally for a year while I kept track of my cycles. I started getting worried after only a few months because I had pinpointed my ovulation dates, we timed things well, and my cycle seemed just fine. Something had to be wrong. Fast forward several tests, a surgery, and nearly another year, and we are left with unexplained profound male infertility that can't be fixed. We are going to start at-home iui this month. I am excited, but realize that the chance of getting pregnant in any given month is quite low, so I am trying to brace myself for another long haul. I'm looking forward to reading up around here and learning from everyone's experiences, especially with the at-home inseminations!

    hi all,

I'm Stephanie (amazed at how many Stephanies there are here!). I'm 40 years old and a SMBC-to-be. Frankly, this whole process is a little terrifying. :) When my 40th birthday came up, I decided that I just couldn't wait for the right guy to come along anymore. My support system is great, but their reactions to this could go either way. In any case, I'm beyond thrilled to be trying and anxious to read about all of your experiences, particularly those who are trying at home!

    Cheers,
    Stephanie

Hi everyone! My name is Diana, I'm 30 years old, and I have one child. My daughter is seven and was born without medicine or assistance in a previous relationship. My husband has no children, and we have been trying to get pregnant for five years now. We found out that he does not produce sperm and we were devastated. Now, we are hoping to add one more child to our family through donor sperm. It's kind of our last hope. Nice to meet everyone and best wishes!

Hello! I am Jess, and my wife Ashlee and I are currently TTC. We have been together for nearly 7 years and we just went to California in February to get legally married. I am so in love with her and we have such a wonderful life together. We are hoping to finally become pregnant this year. We bought a home in August, and our extra bedroom would make the perfect little nursery for a bundle of joy. :) I wish tons of luck and joy to all who are TTC right now!

Hi all! I'm Brianna. I'm a SMBC and have a 7 month old daughter using a donor here. I'm now starting to think of and get ready to try for #2 (or #2 and 3 together). Unfortunately my daughter's donor is no longer available. I thought I'd join the forums finally.

Hey guys my name is Jackie. Me and my husband Kyle are new to this. We tried to conceive once before in 2012 but it didnt take. We have a 7yr old daughter from my first marriage and wanted to give her a sibling. My husband had stage 3 Testicular cancer and it took our chance at our own biological child. After prayer and reflectionion we feel that this will be Gods answer for us. :):):)

Hi, My name is Christa and My wife is Jennifer. I had three children (all girls 11,8,3) from a previous relationship. Jennifer is an awesome mom and I can't wait to share a new life with her. I feel very greedy on here looking to get pregnant with number 4. Think of me as someone who has experience. As much as I already know about getting pregnant (and with wife being a RN) we still have to "try" like everyone else and hope one takes (or two). I stay home with my daughters and enjoy every minute of it. They are small for such a short time and you can NEVER get that back!! We have already tried several ICI's and are trying again this month. I am 40 and Jen is 44 (sorry babe) so we have NO time to waste!! Cheers to all!!
    Two moms to Be!!

Mom of 3 Girls (11,8,3) previous relationship
Trying for #4 with my amazing wife.

Okay okay I've creeped long enough. My partner has vowed to throw this iPad out the window if I don't stop soon I'm really hoping it's the hormones :| (wishful thinking) my partner and I have been together coming up on 4 1/2 years. She has wanted a baby from the get go. However I felt compelled to be better prepared I wanted to finish degree and have a career that was secure. I really would have preferred to buy a house but we aren't to far away from that (I really should have listened to people about credit when I was a reckless teen) hind sights 20/20. Anyways she looked at me not to long ago and said babe we are exactly where you wanted to be and I've stood by and supported your every step so please fulfill my dream and start a family with me. Who could say no to that. Lol. We started with me researching day and night for how we wanted to take this step. Looking at every aspect and planning to a tee. I'm a Virgo it's definitely in my nature. We then started to track her ovulation using first choice as well as clear blue advanced. After 3 months I came to find she was on point every month cycling on day13/14 every time. We found nw and I loved it. Narrowed it down to 4 donors we liked and bought two vials of the same donor. One iui one ici. We did our first insem on June 4 at 12 hours and second at 36 hours. This waiting game if awful. I've been on here reading everything I can. I was so confident that it worked within the first couple days but as I read on and on I'm am starting to get discouraged see all the strife and struggle people have gone through. I will not give up hope though. Our god is an awesome god and I truly believe what is meant to be will be. We are currently on 7dpo and myself and her are nervous wrecks. Agh time speed up. She is tired and cranky and feels bloated but we are trying not to look to far into things. I'm hoping to give you all a positive update come next week. I just wanted to introduce us and get some of that baby dust. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to update these and talk so openly about something so personal it has been a blessing. Also how great is it that these opportunities to start a family as a lesbian couple are even available to us. The world is definitely changing.

I'm Audra (30) and my partner of 11 years is Nichole (31). We are originally from Orlando, Fl and now reside in Gainesville, Fl. We are currently on our TWW from our first IUI (June 11) with donor sperm from NW. We are very hopeful for beginners luck :) Either way we're just going to stay positive. I am a teacher and Nichole is trying to get into vet school. I am glad to be teaching summer school because this waiting business is HARD! It's only been 2dpi. Tick tock....The insem made me very tired and feel a bit funky for the first day. Feeling back to normal now. Hoping for June 25 to get here quickly so we can find out if we're pregnant!

Hello, I am Amy Kate (32) and my wife is Morgan (29). We have been ttc since Dec '13. We started with a known donor and at tried at-home ICI for 5 months. After these unsuccessful attempts we took the summer off and consulted my OB-GYN who performed all the standard fertility testing (ultrasound, bloodwork, and HSG). Everything came back normal except my progesterone levels which were low. We now have our first appointment with an RE coming up this Friday to address the progesterone issue and the steps for moving forward. We have decided that we will switch to using an open donor from NW and we will attempt IUI's at home.

If you have any advice or experience to share on the process, we would love to hear it!

Good luck and baby dust to everyone :D

My name is Michelle (30), this is my 2nd time to be part of this forum. I have a seven year old daughter from a previous marriage, my current husband has raised her since she was born and we tried for several years to conceive and after many failed attempts, fertility meds and surgery I was diagnosed with PCOS and my husband was diagnosed sterile :( My husband (32) and I tried to conceive using ICI in April of 2013 and miscarried, after that I was unable to come to this site for a long time. Now we are going for our 2nd attempt in February 2015!! The donor we used last time is no longer donating so we are back at square one. Here's to a fresh start...... Baby Dust to all!

We are Lisa and Sharon and we live near Portland, OR. We hope to start TTC in April. We are both in our mid-30s, recently married but have been together for nearly 4 years. We would be interested in meeting up with other couples in the area for support and friendship.

Hi there! I've been reading about your journeys for several months, and in many ways I already feel connected to the support that's here. I suppose that's why I decided it's time to introduce myself. I am 39 and single and have decided to pursue my mommy dreams via donor.
My first try was an ICI at home in September, BFN. On October 13, I had an IUI with my ob/gyn. Now I'm in the middle of my TWW and in the spirit of trying to stay sane, I spend a lot of time here with you. Even though this is the first time I've written, I find comfort in knowing that so many strong women share this journey.
A big, healthy handful of baby dust for us all!

    Lucky IUI #6!!!
Expected Arrival Date is January 19, 2016

    Hello,

I'm a single mom by choice via artificial insemination from NWCryobank. My son is 9 and will be 10 in March. I'm now 37 and want another baby. I'm still going back and forth on whether or not to have another baby, but I'm leaning towards having one.

    Baby dust to everyone!

Me and my husband have been trying for a baby for over three years now, We were going to a fertility clinic for about 8 months before somebody told us to contact this spell caster who is so powerful, We contacted him at this email arewaspecialistttemple@gmail.com I copied the email and I sent him a mail he replied me and I told me all my sorrow is over, but after three years of trying we were at a point where we were willing to try anything. And I'm glad we came to Dr Dahiru, Because his pregnancy spell cast put us at ease, and I honestly believe him, and his gods really helped us as well, I am thankful for all he has done, he then told me that I should wipe my tears with such comforting words he told me to buy some items that his going to use to cast the pregnancy spell I did and he made the spell for me and told me when next I meet with my husband I we conceive,at first I thought it was a scam but I just followed my inner mind and I sent the money for him to buy all the items after some months I went to check with my doctor and I was 4weeks pregnant, thanks to Dr Dahiru spell temple,I want to use this medium to tell everyone having similar problem. contact him via email: arewaspecialistttemple@gmail.com if you are trying to get a baby or want your lover back. he has powers to do it, he has done mine,

    Hello everyone!
I am a divorced mother of a 15 year old son. I have always wanted to have a large family with lots of kids. Things haven't gone my way in the romantic sense. I turned 40 this year and have been well aware of my AMA for several years. I decided that even though my dreams of marriage haven't yet come true for the 2nd time, I can still move forward with my dreams of having more children. I am physically fit and financially stable. I have no reason to believe that I still can't get pregnant on my own so I decided to try at-home fertilization for a few cycles. I selected donor 754p.
