Hi. I'm a single mum by choice now 40 with a beautiful daughter who is now 3 that was conceived through iui at my local fertility clinic here in my first cycle. About to ttc for number 2 with a nw donor next week. Currently on Clomid and fingers crossed it works like last time.
Nice to see a great forum here and wishing sticky baby dust to all mamas and families ttc. Being a mum is the best job in the world and I love how my life has grown with that blessing and hopefully can add to our family soon.

Hi; my name is Cady (Katie) and my partner's name is Berta. I'm 34; she's 33. We are also planning a wedding, but are not worried about a time-limit with that. ;) We finally have a house, a backyard, and extra bedrooms. Time to fill it up! To try this for the first time is a little scary, and super exciting!

    Hello all!

My husband and I tried two cycles of ICI at home about seven years ago (he's a trans guy), and neither one took. We decided to take a break before trying again, as I was getting very discouraged thinking I was the problem. He claims the timing just wasn't right- shortly after we both lost our jobs, his mother was diagnosed with cancer, it was a hectic and stressful time in our lives. Then we were blessed with adoption, and have had a very joyous nearly five years with our son. He has been asking for a sibling for some time now, and we of course have been wanting a second child as well. We've decided to start TTC again, and I have an appt in June to see an OBGYN to get myself checked out and have some questions answered.

I found NW by comparing prices (the bank we used last time has doubled their prices), and this bank just feels more right anyhow. Hopefully we will get our swimmers in the new few months!

hello all! my name is Paige and my wife Jennifer and I just began our TTC journey. she is an EMT in training to become a paramedic so we felt comfortable trying our IUI at home. unfortunately the first attempt was unsuccessful but we look forward to trying again in about another week. Im having such a hard time keeping my excitement and anxiety under control and im worried it is effecting my chances. we thought for sure we had succeeded this first time because of so many symptoms i had that were unusual for me but then AF showed up with lots of horrible cramping and blood clots that i am not accustomed to. I hope It didnt not work because of something to do with me. Wish me luck in the next week and I will also be doing the same for all of you. Donor 674 just seems to right for us. good luck all with lots of positive thoughts!!!

TTC with IUI #2 9-10dpo I'm so scared and nervous. The first time we did the IUI I was sure I was pregnant because I had so many symptoms and then I wasn't, this time I don't feel different at all, just really tired like after you take Benadryl or sleeping pills and didn't get enough sleep, and I've had mild cramping off and on since about 5 days passed insemination day, pretty bad back pain, and sore breasts and nipples, but my CM has been consistently really wet. But this time I've been so weepy and crying because I've convinced myself I'm not pregnant this time either. Maybe I'm wrong like last time. No matter how much you try not to get your hopes up every BfN breaks your heart. Lots of positive thoughts and baby dust to you all.

Hi there. My name is Jennifer and my husband is Chris. We have been TTC for nearly a year now and no luck. We have been doing IUI at home, and have an appointment next week to discuss other options. We can't afford IVF, and we have to use a sperm donor. Feeling discouraged today, as I have just gotten my period. I don't know what to do next. Fertility drugs scare me as I know they increase your chances of cancer.

I have changed my diet, started exercising, and I have very regular periods. Feeling lost and discouraged today.

Hi everyone! I'm new here, and my DH and I have recently decided to use a donor from NW. We have been TTC for about a year. DH had brain cancer when he was 15 (but is relatively healthy now) and now does not make any of the pituitary hormones, and thus doesn't make any sperm. He has to take a lot of replacement hormones everyday. The doctor tried putting him on HCG, for awhile, which made him make his own testosterone..... But still no sperm. The doctor then prescribed synthetic LH..... But since out insurance covers nothing it was going to be about $1500 a month (plus the cost of HCG) and financially that would be a huge stretch (and we had no idea if that would even work for him). So we decided to use a donor instead.
I have been tested to make sure my hormones and everything are ok to TTC, and everything looks good so far. We are planning on starting TTC with a donor in August. I'm really excited to try and hoping this works for us. :)
Wife to DH with hypopitutarism and azoospermia
    TTC~
    Try #1 ICI 8/15 -BFN
    Try #2 ICI & IUI 9/15 -BFP!

Hello again everyone. I took some time off and had some life changes. I moved to Florida, got a great job, and bought a house. Having just turned 25 and feeling like I am even more settled, I felt it was time to try again. So here I am :)

I look forward to experiencing this continuing journey with all of you <3

    Sincerely,

Hi everyone! my name is Kerri , I was married for 8 years but i was with my husband for 13 years he was diagnosed with Undescended Testicles at least 2 years into our relationship but i decided to stay. We had to watch a total of 10 babies born between his siblings and neice and all we could do was look on with longing. In 2007 i read up on donor sperm and decided to look into it, i narrow my search down to NW and sent in my $500 deposit for the Dewar my Husband was not Immediately on board with the idea of not being the bio. dad but we talked about it and made my first order but it did not work. I got discouraged and i took almost 6 years to decide to try again, but tragedy struck after i called NW and asked if i had to make a another deposit and i was told no i did all i had to to get registered again, But before we could make our first order tragedy struck. On September 23rd 2014 i lost my Husband he was a Commercial Fisherman, it was a dangerous job but it afforded me the ability to stay home while my husband work. Anyway the boat Capsized and my husband was thrown overboard and he was never found there was 4 people on board but my husband and his cousin was never found. His body was never recovered and even now almost a year later i still do not know for sure what happened because the captain and the other survivor kept changing their stories. I have decided to to go ahead with our plan of having a baby i always wanted to be a mom and i don't want to start over with dating and and then waiting years to try to find the right guy who is interested in having kids i am already 33 years old. I know a lot of people are going to wonder why i am pregnant but never was when he was alive but i can't live my live on what people think of me we decided to do this together and i know he would want me to finish our journey and i intend to do that. :)

Hi, I am 27 and looking to be a single mother by choice. I have never attempted this before. Since my late teens I knew I would go this route if mr right didn't make an appearance by the time I was 29 but lately I have been having a lot of dreams in which I have either just had a child or I am pregnant. I do no want to miss my opportunity to have kids or go through a lot of fertility issues if I can avoid them. I have been tracking my cycle for 3 months now and have a very high fertility rate in my family. I am hoping to try in home insemination mid December as a gift to myself. Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi I'm Nancy. I've just ordered 5341 and will have it stored until June or July. I'm at an advanced age (43) so once I made the decision I decided to spend at least 90 days focusing on nutrition to help my egg quality before using the sperm. I will be using ICI and I'll be doing it alone (SMBC) at home. I am planning to use "The Stork" which works alot like a tampon applicator with a cervical cap instead of a tampon. Happy to join the forum and meet everyone! I'd be interested if anyone else has used 5341 or The Stork.

Me and my partner waisted time going to the gynae but they never told us to check what's the problem of not getting preggo until one day we visit a specialist.
Finally he told us , I had fibroids which were removed last year in October.
I'm desperately to have a baby, I'm now 45 years old.
    I stay in South Africa.

my husband and I have been trying since 2010. We did manage to get pregnant in October that year only to have a miscarriage. We did home inseminations and bed danced. We have been trying on and off ever since. I decided in October 2015 to see my gyno about trying since I was 43 at the time. I am 44 now. I am now on round 5 of clomid. Hubby did a sperm analyst however he has very low volume of .5 and they want 2 or more. His count was I think 51 mil but they want over 60. (trying to remember from the phone conversation with the nurse) We decided to try a frozen donor. We have done 3 attempts using frozen so far. I have other children but him and I don't feel our family is complete yet. We have one more attempt if this last one didn't work before my gyno will send us to a reproduction specialist.

I just joined after several weeks of reading. I am a happily-single mom to 4 kids, ages 9,8 and 7 (twins). I have decided to try to grow my family. At 42, I know that the journey will be more difficult, but I'm excited at the possibility. I look forward to getting to know people.

Hi my name is Amy. I'm 33 years old and single. I've always wanted to have a child of mine own and always told myself that once I hit a certain age and if I wasn't involved I'd try to have a child by other means. I have a friend who has gone through NW and has gotten 2 beautiful children out of it. She gave me this website and I look forward to talking with people about the journey I'm going to be making. Although I probably won't be starting until next year due to certain circumstances I just figured that I would get a jump on knowing what to expect.

Hi! My name is Cathy, my husband Sal and I have been ttc for 2 years. We've become regular customers at our local IVF clinic this year and are on our 4th mini if cycle! I have diminished ovarian reserve so we're saving up for our donor egg cycle by the end of the year. omg, fertility treatments are so expensive- and nobody warned me about the emotional roller coaster ride this has become! I have a 11 year old daughter, I was a young mom, had her at 21, so basically menopause this early in life was a big surprise to me.. I am SO intimately familiar by now with the stages of denial. When I'm not obsessing about how many eggs I possibly have left in the carton, Im spending time with my family and pets... here's to putting ttc days behind us! <<clink clink, chug.>>

Hello, my name is Kami and my spouse's name is Karina. We have been together for 15 years and now have a two year old. She has brought our lives such joy and we have recently decided to try for another one. I remember the process of trying to conceive and am not looking forward to the stress and anxiety but the end result is worth it. Nice to see others going through the same process. We used donor number 3688 but unfortunately he is no longer donating and we used all of our vials on the first process. I never dreamt that we would want to try for another but here we are.

    Hi,

My name is Jennifer. DH and I have been trying to conceive since June of 2014 after a Vaso reversal. Last August a sperm count came back with a zero count after having a count for 10 months. Will start cervical position after AF next week. At 36yo I'm ready for this next stage in my life!!
Vaso Reversal 6/14 - Successful but low numbers/low motility. TTC- 9/14 thru 7/15 BFN Scarred Down 8/15 0 sperm count.

    ICI x3 vials - 6/16 BFN
    IUI x1 vial - 10/16 BFN

Hi my name is Stephanie and my husband's name is Sam. We are using donor sperm and our first attempt will most likely (if all goes well) be next week! :) I have so many emotions. I have read way to much online, so I am taking a step back and trying to just breathe. I am tracking using OPKs, the OvaCue monitor, etc. I might have a "shorter" luteal phase after tracking (about 10 days some months, sometimes longer though), so I am trying to relax and just trust. My doctor is recommending I come in about a week after my LH surge to test my progesterone and then go from there. Has anyone ever done this? I often find myself second guessing everything I am doing, but then remind myself that we feel that it is clear we are supposed to walk forward on this journey and it is my responsibility to just keep moving. I have been doing some fertility meditations and that has been very helpful. :) Sending love, peace and BFPs to all of you!!!

I recently reconnected with my girlfriend from 25 years ago. We were young (22) and had no idea then how deep our connection was or how hard such a connection was to find. We googled each other over the years, but did not reconnect until last year. Both of us have spent the last 25 years with partners who have not wanted children, but we both did. If only we had gotten back together sooner! Now that we are together, we want to have children. I have never tried to get pregnant and have never been pregnant. I have no idea what I am in for or if I can even get pregnant, but I am staring this journey by believing in my body. I need lots of advice and at some point will likely need to find a fertility specialist who isn't shaming and defeatist (my big fear).

I am part of another online community dedicated to women trying to conceive after 40 if anyone is interested.

Calel is the best and he is asking questions about his dad can anybody help me with a answer I tell him he has me but he is getting bigger and already very smart but as a parent I just want to be able to tell him something and to even re-insure him that he has one and give him the details later. Besides all of that we are very happy and he doesn't seem to mind because he is the only guy in school who has a Becky he likes that so do I.

Based on your other posts the donor is likely 026 which is our donor. I am very open to donor sibs:) Calel would make the 14th child from this donor that I am aware of. I'd love to exchange info on the kids if you ever want to. My daughter turns 12 this summer.

Happy to have contact with donor sibs from 026
