Warm weather winter vacation ideas

Hi everyone. I'd really like to take a vacation over Chrismas vacation somewhere that it's warm (preferably on the western side of the US). Any suggestions?

I was thinking of San Diego. Is there anything special about Disney Land that you can't experience at Disney World? We are going to World a year from October.

I actually really disliked Disney in CA. I only prefer FL one because there is so much more to do. the CA is a smaller version.

I would suggest MX for a trip. beach is wonderful and the food is cheap.
if you do CA, I'm not sure what there is for little kids besides beach. it is pretty there tho.

At that time of year San Diego won't be warm enough for a typical "beach" vacation. Yes you can probably still build a sand castle and it will certainly be warmer the a great deal of the country but not a tropical vaca by any means!

The weather wouldn't be warm enough to play in the water, but it should be really comfortable for being outside most of the day if you do San Diego. With your kids ages, Legoland would probably be fun. The San Diego Zoo is also great and so is the Wild Animal Park.

How about Hawaii? It's warm in December and you'll be able to swim in the ocean and do outdoor activities. The disadvantage is that it's a 5-hour flight from the west coast.

this may be inappropriate for little kids, but one of my favorite vacations ever was driving around new Mexico. there is so much to do and you can get to it all in just a few days--Carlsbad caverns, ufo museum :), white Sands national monument, space museum, and more. and the weather is perfect!!
got our miracle BFP on first IVF after 3 years TTC. DS born may 20, 2015 after emergency cesarean. all are doing well and trying to figure out this new journey!!
