OPK help please...

I never get a positive smiley on the clearblue, so I have given up on those. The dollar tree tests usually work well for me.

So, this morning (using second morning urine) I got what looked to be positive...or at least darn close. Tonight, at 5:30PM, barely a line.

I have a lot of EWCM. It is only CD11 and I've never ovulated before CD13 in the 7 months I've been tracking (5 times in was on CD13 and one on CD14.) BUT, I was on metformin for a month and recently went off of it, so I guess that could influence ovulation.

I need advice? If your OPK goes from dark to light, does it mean ovulation already happened, or could I still ovulate 24-36hrs after the positive I got this morning? I didn't test yesterday because I didn't have any tests and I am kicking myself now. Ugh!

I do not want to miss my chance this cycle.

I had a few times where one check was nearly as dark as control, then a few hours later was barely there, but I always eventually got a clear positive (usually on the next check after the light one). I suspect the lighter readings were because my urine was less concentrated.

I agree with the previous poster. Maybe. Try again in the morning no see what you get? You could always insem then.

It was positive again later that night and negative again the next morning (yesterday) so I went ahead and did the insemination. I had some EWCM, but not as much as the day before. I've never had that happen with the OPKs before.

Now I am wondering if I inseminated too early. My temp went up today, so I think I should have ovulated yesterday, but I have tons of EWCM today! Ugh!

This whole thing with the timing is going to drive me insane. All I can do now is hope for the best.

If your temp went up, that is a really good sign you ovulated. It is possible to have EWCM after O. I had a wonky cycle with really mixed signs and still wound up with a BFP, so it can happen! FX for you and baby dust!

Time to relax and just hope for the best...timing for TCC will drive you insane. I too think you made a good decision. I can't rely on EMCM anymore. Sometimes I see it prior and sometimes after instead of when it should be. The crazy thing about it the cycles I can't TTC is when I feel the signs are the clearest that I am ovulating. There has to be a stress factor in all this. Good Luck and hope in a couple weeks you are on here with your bfp.

I think being on Metformin for a month and then off of it right before ttc is what made this cycle so wonky. I am definitely just going to try to hope for the best. Heck, if I was too early there could be a slow little swimmer who survived and made it to the egg just in time. :) You never know.

It sounds to me like you probably timed it well. I would have done the same thing and inseminated! Wishing you the best! :-)

These darn OPKs drive me crazy! We are about to give up (we've been at this two years between the two of us). I have never gotten a positive on a Wondfo, ever. Just constant variations from no line to medium-dark. Two cycles I got positives with Target's Daily Ovulation strips, but my store stopped carrying them. So this cycle we tried the CBE Advanced... (in conjunction with Wondfos).

So far, I'm unimpressed. I've had blinking smilies for four days now, varying darknesses on the Wondfos but never positive, and this morning my BBT is way up. Wish I hadn't relied on the OPK and just inseminated on the day my temp dipped.

I hate those Clearblue Advanced. I found those so confusing. I went on line and searched until I got the solid smiley faced when I get my surge. I used to love the Answer strips. I used those for years and had good luck with them but I can't find them anymore even on line...

I think OPKs are hard to read sometimes, but relying just on my personal symptoms of ovulation didn't work for me this time either. I'm hoping for the best.

I woke up in the middle of the night with cramps and light spotting. This morning I feel achy, kind of flu-like. Not sure if it is a good sign this early or not. I'm sitting here at the Kia garage getting my noisy car fixed. I hope they don't take long. I want to go home and go to bed. The tww makes me lose my mind!

I hope so...trying not to get my hopes up. I still feel pretty crampy today. I actually feel like I'm going to start my period, but it's over a week away. Guess time will tell.
