I'm not sure if there's anyone on here that isn't on the FB group, but our twins were born extra early at 28.4 weeks gestation on 3/29/17! They've done really great in the NICU and they should be going home in 3-4 weeks.

TTC since September 2007 - 8 donor insems in 2012, all BFN. DH had varicocele repair #2 1/3/14.
It worked! Two clomid cycles and two IUI's with injectables all BFN, on to IVF! 3dt of 2 perfect embryos on 12/15/14, BFP 7dp3dt! Frederick Lars born at 37 weeks on 8/15/15!! FET for #2 on 9/29/16 - BFP 5dp5dt!! Bertram Wilder and Mabel Moon born at 28.4 weeks on 3/29/17!

    OH my they are so cute. I am sorry they had such a rough start. Congratulations. I may be adopting a 25 weeker. She is doing well. No set backs. Just needs to keep it that way and grow, grow, grow. I hope your twins are the same way and you get to bring them home soon.

    35 years old - SMBC * 3 ICIs, 6 IUIs, 1 ectopic, 1 chemical, blocked left tube.

    Charlese was born on June 17, 2017 at 8:33 AM. She was the most gorgeous baby I've ever seen. She came into this world weighing 7 lbs and 5ozs. She was 19 1/2 inches.

    Will try for #2 around September 2019! I’m ready to complete my family!

    so so cute! I dont know the full story of why they came or how so early? mind sharing their weights and a their birth pics? its amazing to see how well we've come in technology that 28 weekers are perfect when they go home. I just love it!

    That's a gorgeous pair of twins!!
    I'm so glad they are doing so well! I'm actually impressed they don't even have oxygen!
    Hope they breeze through NICU milestones and are home soon.
    Having a baby in NICU is the toughest thing I've ever had to do.

    Thanks everyone! They'd already been in the NICU for awhile when this pic was taken which is why they're not on any O2, but they've done really well from day 1 and were never intubated, just had CPAPs!

    tinydancer - no one knows why they came early! I was at a routine appointment when they discovered that my cervix was less than 1cm long and 90% effaced - it had been over 5cm long just 2 weeks prior. I never had any pre-labor signs and denied that I was having contractions all the way to 8cm - it was sooooo much less painful than Freddie's labor! Both babies were breech so I had an emergency c-section at 10cm dilated since there was no stopping it at that point (my doctor and I were both cool with a double breech delivery for babies closer to term, but not for 28 weekers) which wasn't my plan but was a really good birth experience, just very different than my waterbirth with Freddie!

    Oh, and they were 3 pounds 3 ounces and 3 pounds 4 ounces at birth which is really high weights for their gestational age. They both got down under 3 pounds early on but I don't remember how low. They're 6 1/2 and 7 pounds now! I'll upload some newborn pics when I get the chance :)

    Mabel may be coming home as early as THIS Thursday, so keep your fingers crossed for her!

    There is a thread in the Trying to Conceive part of the forum where you can request to be added. It is a great group!
    Luca Gabriel was born 10/25/17 at 34 weeks, due to PROM. He's healthy and perfect! I'm in love!
