Preseed- good marketing?

So my first visit to the RE and we are discussing our "process"... I mentioned that I had heard preseed was good to use and asked if he agreed.

He laughed... and said "good marketing".
He said that things like KY and astroglide had shown they could be harmful to sperm so they came out with a lubricant that was more friendly.

Basically he said it's only a marketing ploy and said he was trying to save me 20 bucks.
But so many of you have said it's great and recommend it!

My first line of thinking is- if it can't hurt, it could only help- right?
ici's over the last 2-3 years, all bfn one chemical- took a break.

Im with you on that. I use it but rarely and not so much internally like it says. My thinking is if i am gonna use something id rather it be something that won't hurt. Or at least hurt less.

For us it was a necessity. We used the speculum and there was no way that was happening without a little something! ;)

I needed it. I had no CM at all, like nothing! I actually used 2 tubes and well it worked :-) I highly doubt I would have gotten my BPF being basically dry nor would the speculum gone in very easily.

I think a lot of TTC has to do with mind over matter - so even if you only think you are doing something extra to help, that alone might actually help. If that makes sense at all! Lol. I used it figuring it can't hurt, might help. And the month I got my BFP I had used it. Could be a coincidence, but hey I would do it again!

Worked for me and I read so many success stories about it .. there may have been a study done too - can't remember.
