Trying again at 36 and looking for advice

I conceived with a NW ICI donor 6 years ago when I was 29. It was the 3rd round we got lucky enough to get our BFP after inseminating on cd 14 and 15. Which was at first +opk(dark line, I didn’t use digitals way back then, haha) and then I believe 24 hours later.

This time I have been using pretty much just clear blue easy advanced digitals and been inseminating on cd 15 and 16: immediately at solid smilie and then again 24 hours later. As I have gotten the solid smile at around 11am on cd 15 for my last three cycles. So cd 15 @11am and cd16 at around 9am. Th first cycle was a BFN and I made the mistake of getting IUI vials instead of ICI. The 2nd cycle I really felt pregnant but all the early result tests came back negative. It wasn’t until the day after my missed period that I got a positive on a early result test. Unfortunately it didn’t stick and I had a chemical pregnancy at about 6 weeks. Which has really been weighing hard on my heart. But want to keep going. I jumped right into another round reading stories of women being super fertile the month after a CP. I did the same insemination timing as I figured I did get pregnant with that timing, but again a BFN.

SO I am not giving up but taking a month off. Some people suggest more time after a CP. I have also started to take CO Q-10 300mg a day but think I may give up the Premama I’ve been taking. I also use Preseed during each insemination.

So my questions are: should I alter timing and go on days 14 and 15 or stick to what I’ve been doing and trust the clear blue advanced digitals? Should I start temping, I haven’t done this in the past and I’m not sure why.

Thanks for any input. And wishing BFPs for you all!! <3

OR....do you think I’m doing it too soon and should do it later?? I’ve read the older you are the closer to +opk you OV and in some cases before! So thus my thoughts to do it sooner. Thoughts.... and THANKS!!

we cant tell you which day but you should insem the day of or day after a +opk. I usually do 2 insems to cover more time.
I also believe you are most fertile right after losses.
    I wish you the best.

I guess I’m looking for suggestions for trying at this age vs younger. For those successful at a later age with regular cycles trying at home without any help from a specialist.

I am totally regular myself. But I am also the primary income source and I travel for work regularly. I really thought about doing duel insemination as we have synced cycles.... but then thought of multiples terrified me . My wife is 29 and taking fertility drugs to up our chances. The process is more exhausting than I remember....

So no one thinks I should try for sooner than what I’ve been doing? Like cd14 which is when I inseminated when I was 29? Or even possibly later? Or stick with what I have been doing as I did get pregnant with this timing, it just didn’t stick? Or any suggestions supplement wise? I know you can’t tell me what’s right....But thanks for your advise!!

again, you cant just pick a day and inseminate. you need to do it around the time you get a + ovulation test. and we cant know when that would be for you. so insem 12-36 hrs after a + opk.

remember sperm only lives 12-24 hrs after thawed.

I as 32 when I inseminated at home with ICI vials. I did 2 vials, one 12 hours after +opk, the other 24 hours after +opk and luckily got pregnant on my first try. I would not inseminate as soon as you get the +opk but rather wait a little. You could do earlier than 12 hours later if you wished but I wouldn't do it right away. Good luck!

So I did not inseminatr last cycle. I got my period 4 days early though, which is strange for me as my cycle is clockwork. But this is my 3rd cycle since my CP. I was planning to inseminate this cycle but wonder if I should wait another round since I got my period early so maybe my hormones are still messed up? But it’s also strange cause I was four days late getting my period when I had my CP(since I was :( pregnant), and now since I got AF 4 days early I’m back in my old cycle again....so maybe it’s a good sign. Thoughts? And thanks!! <3
