It is a BFP! But...First Beta --Low *UPDATE*

We got our results today and we are indeed pregnant. Our first Beta is 16 (14dpo). I went in for another Beta today and will find out the results tomorrow. They are going to do several more betas to make sure the little bean is thriving and it makes it over a 100.

Has anyone had betas this low and had a successful pregnancy?

Thanks,
Darla

Our Beta went from 16 to 26, we have a repeat draw Thursday. YAY for an upward trend!!!!

My first beta (10 day past 5 day transfer, or 15dpo) was 10. I was so sad... i felt like i was doomed, and that nothing good could come from a beta that low.

I was WRONG! We have seen the little ice-pop on ultrasound!

My betas were (every 48 hours)

    10, 34, 125, 522, 1500, 4832

    : ) I hope that helps!

Onemorebaby: So your beta was low and you are pregnant with twins? Did I read that right?

    Indigosuz... yes and no...

My beta started very very low, but then instead of doubling every 48 hours... as you can see - it has been tripling to quadrupling every 48 hours.

On the first ultrasound, they were able to identify two gestational sacs. I haven't posted any updates - but the second ultrasound showed no further development in one sac. That being said, although I am not hopeful for sac 2, it is early and the results - whatever they are - will be confirmed later this week with another ultrasound.

I have a friend whose first beta was 7 or 8 and she now has a healthy 2 year old. This was after an IVF cycle too so her beta was drawn at what should have been a good time. She must have just had a late implanter. Don't give up hope :)

I will, thank you everyone for responding! We will find out our results after 2pm cst and I will post.

We are over the moon this worked on our first IUI with new RE ( we previously underwent IVF with new RE after old RE had 2 unsuccessful IUI's). I am 42 and we are so ecstatic with having a full sibling to our son!
