OK,,, let's talk about spotting

This morning is 13dpi and is cycle day 25. DW has a regular 28 day cycle.
We really don't know when she ovulated b/c we do not temp and we only did OPK's.
We got a positive OPK at 2am 4/17/12 and did our first insem at 10pm on 4/17/12 so that makes today 13dpi.

This morning she felt some cramps. We tested with FMU and it was nothing.
A few hours later she did see some brown spotting on the toilet paper. She put on a pad. She usually comes right on with a flow.
Well, tonight at 8pm there was just a little brown on the pad. And when she wiped, it was nothing to it.
And she said she has never had a cramp that just went away when she starts AF (it was on her right side). Her first day of AF is usually crampy and miserable for her.

So, wonder if she ovulated a day later than we thought and the sperm lived and we are only 11dpo or something like that. I know with my first BFP I spotted on 11dpo and got my BFP on 14dpo.

I'm just waiting it out, not too overly excited and not disappointed, just chillin'

(but I kinda think we might have something here b/c like she says she has never had a period like this)

If it is implantation spotting, doesn't it take a few days for the hcg to show up in the urine? That could explain the BFN. Fingers crossed for you!!!! It sounds a lot like what I had when I was pregnant with DD!!!!

graceinfl - exactly right, it can take 2-4 days after implantation for HCG levels to be high enough to be picked up on a HPT. if it's implantation bleeding (fingers crossed!) i wouldn't expect a BFP for at least 48 hours.
TTC since September 2007 - 8 donor insems in 2012, all BFN. DH had varicocele repair #2 1/3/14.
It worked! Two clomid cycles and two IUI's with injectables all BFN, on to IVF! 3dt of 2 perfect embryos on 12/15/14, BFP 7dp3dt! Frederick Lars born at 37 weeks on 8/15/15!! FET for #2 on 9/29/16 - BFP 5dp5dt!! Bertram Wilder and Mabel Moon born at 28.4 weeks on 3/29/17!

that is what I am thinking too. She wants to test in the morning and we do have some tests that expire in May so I might just do it, but I believe it won't show up for 2 days.

She keeps saying that the cramp was just on the right side and she doesn't feel it anymore.

well, as I predicted, BFN this morning, BUT we have NO more spotting.
I am cautiously thinking that in a day or so we might get lucky.
Still gonna test it out until the real AF shows up (or not)

so very strange today is 15dpi (CD27) and the Clearblue said NOT PREGNANT.
She has not had any cramping and no signs that AF is coming.
And it has been 2 days since the brown spotting.
I am hoping that we will get a BFP on 17dpi I know a couple that got their BFP on that day. I am down to one pregnancy test,,, hoping but it is driving me crazy
