So we had our first IUI today! DP & I were soooo nervous, we barely slept last night. Funny, since I am not the one who is being probed. We were told we had 7.10 million sperm with 85% mobility. I spoke with the tech, who told me that even though NW guarantees 10 million, there will never be 10 million after a wash. I have no idea if this is true or not. I had a feeling she was trying to get rid of me (by the way, she is a bit rude too!).

Also, since our initial consult, we have not seen the RE again. It has only been nurses. While we do not mind seeing the nurses, we are a bit put off. We are paying over $1,000 a cycle and we don't' even get the RE to do the insemination? I don't know, in my opinion this is just wrong!

Anyways, we go in for our second IUI tomorrow morning. We are so excited to be back on the TWW side!

    That doesn't sound right to me. We have always had over 10 mil. I also would be upset if we didn't have an re for our insems. The nurses never do the insems at our re office, it is always one of the re's. Good luck and hope you get your bfp

    If we do not get our bfp, we will ask for RE to do future inseminations. Todays count was better...11.7 million with 70% mobility. So obviously the tech from yesterday did not know what she was talking about!

    I had the same issues with my RE, his assistant did the last two cycles. He always calls after a beta whether its positive or negative and after two negatives for us when he called I told him I only wanted to deal with him and he said "I am your doctor, you are paying me so yes your right you should deal with me". This cycle we've only seen him :D You have the right to request him!

    Good Luck to you. That does seem strange that your RE isn't doing the actual procedure..you are certainly paying enough for it!

    Good Luck! I also wanted to tell you that sometimes when our RE is running late they give us the CHOICE of having the nurse do it :)

    The post wash number thing isnt correct though because we just had 27million and I know lots of others have had way more then that after wash.

    I was very happy with the numbers. I will find out Sunday if 27million was enough lol. :D
