Getting sharpie marker off a child

Aiden decided to draw on his arms, the dresser, and his little people zoo with a green sharpie marker. Does anyone have any ideas of how to get sharpie marker off a child's skin other than just letting him be Mr. Green for a few days? Somebody suggested hand sanitizer, and that took the sharpie off the dresser, but not Aiden or his zoo. I tried soap and water also.

I use nail polish remover (acetone-free) on hard surfaces, but have never tried it on skin. Maybe as a last resort, you could try a test patch?

May be a little harsh but alcohol wipes did an amazing job on my son's skin and yes those Clorox magic erasers do an great job on surfaces other than skin!

For flat hard surfaces you can color over permanent market with a dry erase marker then just erase it away. I use it all the time.

I trieid a few other things suggested, but nothing took it off totally. So I've left him green until the sharpie wears off. :)
