Mini Skateboard

Hi Everyone,

Aiden wants a skateboard for his birthday? He's 38 3/4 inches tall and about 32 pounds at almost 5 years old. I'm guessing a good quality mini skateboard would be the best option. Does anybody have a suggestion of a good type/brand of skateboard?

My older kids have regular and longboard skateboards. Both say the small ones (penny skate boards) are harder to use and need more balance. Has Aiden tried a scooter yet? It's pretty much a skateboard with a handle for steering :)

These guys make a great board, and they make the deck from bamboo so its lighter, but still use good quality pruducts like trucks, wheels and bearings. They specialize in kids boards and have a parents section on their site as well, though I haven't looked into it. Whatever you do, don't get a cheapy from a toy store, even if they have a character he wants. They are not as good of quality, and many times can be dangerous, especially if he gets good enough to start trying little tricks or something.
