She's STILL sick

Maeve is on day 9 of crumminess with intermittent fever (at least twice a day, between 100 and 103). She's been to the pedi's twice - he can't find any infection (even swabbed for strep). If she's still feverish in the morning, I am supposed to take her back for blood work :( This is no fun!

Been there. So awful for everyone. We ended up finding out - after 7 weeks - that Kate had mono. When they did the first - quick, in office - it was too soon. When I finally demanded more bloodwork at the end if the nightmare she tested positive for HAVING HAD mono. I hope that isn't the case for you but it is one of the things they should test for. Also Lyme was one I was worried about based on her symptoms. Hope she rebounds soon. Keep us posted.

We had a virus or 2 in this house that lasted almost 2 weeks with the on and off fever. So frustrating as you keep thinking they are on the mend and then it is back. Hope this is the tail end of it for you.

I was thinking Lyme as well. Have her tested, just to be sure. My friend had Lyme unknowingly for over 20 years, passed it on to two of her three kids even after being "cured."

Finally had a fever-free day! She slept through most of it. Here's hoping this marks the end of nothing more than a nasty virus.
