Elevated temperature

So I have had a temperature between 99-100 for 4 days starting on Sunday. I felt pretty lousy Sunday afternoon but otherwise have no signs of a cold or illness of any kind. I feel "warm" but it's been hovering around 100 degrees outside here for a while. I'm thinking this is a sign of menopause but google just keeps mentioning hot flashes not necessarily elevated body temperature.

I will be 42 in a couple of weeks and my sister (19 months older) said she is going through menopause now. When I questioned it (she's a compulsive liar), my mother told me she was about 43 when she went through it too. Why I'm just learning this now I'm not sure. My periods have been pretty regular but they are getting lighter and shorter every month.

All of this is what is leading me to conclude that this is a menopause sign. Anyone have any experience?
