R is seeing so many doctors :( an OT, sleep specialist, two psychiatrists, his regular doctor, a speech therapist and a pediatric neurologist. He definitely had some sensory issues going on and some sensory seeking behaviors but we also saw the psychiatrist today after I wasn't happy with the first. She is a highly recommended doctor and spent a ton of time working with R. She thinks he may have anxiety issues because of a few symptoms but also thinks most of his issues are neurological. She said she isn't 100% yet but that he stricks her as having aparxia. He has a lot of soft markers for a neurological issue :( She thinks the increase in him being defiant and aggression is a mix between anxiety, sensory issues and that neurologically he is behind in some areas of development. She said that the demands and pressures that he faces are only increasing with age. That he probably can't tell yet but that he can feel that it is challenging. She had him do a few simple tests today like a finger touching thumb test and such and he would start and then stop and act out. She said he is seen that a simple task is causing him difficulty and he tries to cover up the situation by being silly or in his case defiant. I'm not sure what to think. So much of the issues he has always had are coming together and adding up and making sense type of thing. I see the pediatric neurologist in a few weeks. She said that the OT is the most important right now to help with sensory issues and his very poor body awareness. She doesn't think counseling will help a whole lot because he just isn't ready for certain things yet. Basically I can't teach my 1 year old to behave like a 3 year old. She thinks in time he will catch up but that he is slower to develop. He seems to LOVE a School counselor so we both agreed to talk with him and see if he will
Work with R more though.
Im not sure what to think of all this. Sure he was a hard baby and had a huge speech delay but I never thought all this other stuff was going on. Academically he's doing fine in school though which is good and he LOVES his teachers and overall school. His physical aggression is only getting worse though and I'm
not sure what to do at this point :( he so quickly hits now and so far every suggestion under the sun hasent help.

Anyways that's an update :(
