Do you think I timed it right?

The last two cycles I had missed my ovulation and had to send the vials back. This time I took great care to not miss the egg again. My cycle has been very regular over the past several months, 28 days. This cycle on day 11 I used a cheapie ovulation test strip in the morning and it looked negative (there was only a faint second line). Then at 4 pm I got a smiley on the smiley test. I had a lot of ewcm too and in the evening I felt some mid-pain, so at 10:30 pm I did a first ICI insemination. And then again one more the next morning. By then I was much drier though and I felt that ovulation had already occurred. My temp also increased by 0.3 degrees (from 97.9 the days before to 98.2 that morning). Do you think I ovulated that night? I'm not sure if a temperature increase of just 0.3 degrees is enough to proof that ovulation has happened. So I'm wondering if I timed it right this time or if I should have inseminated at 4 pm already when I got my smiley. This is when I had more ewcm than at 10:30 pm when I did the insemination. I hope this time I didn't miss the egg again. I find the right timing the most difficult thing to do in this whole process.

Not sure about the temp but I would assume at least one was well timed based on you symptoms. Maybe you ovulate really close to your surge. Hopefully you get your positive. If not maybe inseminate asap after positive opk and then 12 hrs post? This is my first time inseminating so I am by no means an expert.

Thanks New-mama for your reply. Yes, I was thinking the same. I might ovulate really close to my surge.
