Got my follicle scan for Friday!

I was a little confused and annoyed because my RE didn't schedule me for a CD 11 scan. My next appointment was CD15 but since I've never been on clomid, I want to know what's going on with my follicles!
So I called today and asked for a scan on Friday as I don't want to drive myself crazy over the weekend.
They were able to schedule me! Yay!
I almost feel like there's nothing going on down there. I took 100mg of clomid this cycle and have had zero symptoms so far.

I had mine yesterday on CD12 and I was ready to ovulate. I'm glad you called to get checked. You never know what meds will do.

It's exciting to have those scans. It will tell you if you are ready or not and also mine measured my lining so I knew if that was good too. I wish you lots of luck.

Oh yes...they checked my lining too. It is very nice to get some reassuring information from the ultrasound. Made me realize there is truly nothing else I can do to make this work, so maybe I'll relax a little.

I need to write down my questions. I don't want to leave and then realized I was half informed.
So please, if you have suggestions on what to ask... Tell me! I've never had a follicle scan before.
I got my ICI vial today Woooot!
IF my cycle is not affected by the clomid, I could ovulate as late as the 24th (hopefully earlier). LH is still low but now that I have that vial in hand I don't have to worry about late O bc even if RE is closed I'll have something to use.

My heart is going a mile a minute. The doctor had the probe in there for 20 seconds and told me to get dressed.
I was mad and confused because he didn't even measure! I did notice a huge follicle.
Then they sent me to the billing office and the lady said to come back at 2:30 for the insemination... WHAT? I haven't gotten a positive!
She said dr said I'm ready. O_O

YEAH!!! Good Luck...I am sure 2:30 can't come fast enough but at least you don't have to stress for days about it!!

No, No, No.
I SWEAR I don't understand my RE and it's getting very frustrating.
SO I get there and the lady directs me to his office to "talk". Oh great!
He tells me that I have a large follicle (about 3cm) but he thinks its too early to inseminate. He left it up to me but I refused because I KNOW its too early. I haven't gotten a +opk and I always get one.
He didn't seem very eager about even letting me try this cycle and even said that one of my options was to let this cycle pass an learn from it when I ovulate.
I told him I know when I ovulate but I wanted a scan to see progress.
He then said that he wasn't going to be in the office starting Thursday so if I ovulated then I wouldn't be able to inseminate at all.
UGH!
OK so I asked him if he could trigger today and I'll come tomorrow. He did everything to evade my questions so I gave up after repeating myself 4 times.
I told him I would keep testing at home and would come in when it was positive. "But if you get a + Saturday in the afternoon, we're not here Sunday" I know!
When I was leaving one of the tech told me to call if I got a positive between today and tomorrow so they could pencil me in. The other technician overheard her and said "no, just come in the morning if you get a + and don't waste time calling"
Let's say I'm sooooo glad I ordered that extra ICI vial and that it is safely sitting in my closet.
I'm all bumbed out but because, even with going to the RE, I feel I'm doing this on my own and I can't count on him for timing.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Seems very frustrating. My experience with the RE has been nothing like this.

3cm seems very large for a follicle. Maybe I am just not experienced enough with this, but I had 4 and none of them were near that size.

Good luck! I hope this cycle works out in spite of the craziness.

Yes, I couldn't believe it. Of course he didn't measure it while doing the ultrasound. He measured it after printing with the scale the image prints on the side.
I did see it on the monitor and the follicle was huge.
IDK what to think. I'm probably going to go through all my 50 LH strips over the weekend with fear of missing the surge.

Sorry but your RE sounds like a jerk. What a disappointment when you thought you were going for your IUI. I am glad you have a vial at home. Go with it when you feel timing is right. Is he refusing to do IUI altogether this cycle? Was he planning to do another ultrasound to check your progress and do it next week? How stressful for you.

Is it possiblr to find a new RE? I certianly know that I would be.
