Baby is breech..., update ECV unsuccessful

I went to the doctor last Tuesday at 33 weeks and 1 day. The baby was still in a breech position. My doctor told me if the baby doesn't turn by 36 weeks then I will be put in the hospital for a few hours to have her turned. That looks painful from he videos I watched on YouTube. He also told me it doesn't work a lot of times with ftms. I am so praying she turns soon. If she doesn't, he let me know I will be having a csection. Anyone else have baby being turned mentioned to them or has anyone had his done to them in previous pregnancies?

Ther e are some things you can find on the internet that are suppose to encourage baby to turn. Warmth and cold, different positions, etc. you can try. She can probably still move into position. Give you some time.

I hope so. She has two weeks to turn before they will schedule to turn her. I am hoping she turns on her own.

Research "baby spinning", I will say from personal experience, my baby b went breech between 32 and 35 weeks. I have one head down, baby a, and baby b is breech. I figure we are moving all the time still , there is room. I wish you well.

I did pelvic rocks every day and he flipped on his own. You may want to check to see if there are any midwives in your area that specialized in flipping babies! There is a midwife in my area that uses a scarf and it is gentle and people swear by her!

Thanks everyone for the advice. She didn't turn if we are doing the Ecv turning on Friday afternoon. So wish me luck. I also found out today that I am anemic and must take more iron.

Thanks. He tested to see if her head would move today by pressing a little and it did. He said that means there is a shot.

I had to take more iron as well. Make sure you keep taking it after birth. I didn't and it was horrible. My levels were very low and it could have been dangerous.

Good luck with the flip! You're almost there and it'll all be worth it!

Thanks. I am starting iron today. I have to call my doctor first because he gave me iron with folic acid and I have MTHFR and I want to make sure that it is ok to take. My prenatals had to have folate since I do not absorb folic acid. He did tell me to continue it after the baby and he would continue to monitor it.

Well the turning was unsuccessful and I will be having a csection on th 17th of this month. I am so wxcit d though b cause I only have a week to go.

Thanks! It is exciting and I am so relieved he did it in a Saturday. I wanted my mom there for support and she will be able to come that day.

I kept checking back yesterday to see if anything was posted. I'm sorry it didn't work but glad to hear you'll be meeting your little one shortly!!!

Thanks. This last few days seem so slow compared to the rest of the pregnancy lol

What was the ECV like? Was it super painful?

Had an appt Wednesday and now I'm measuring several weeks ahead and OB said from what he's experienced its either baby turned into a breach position or she's going to be a large baby. Won't know anything until the 28th at ultrasound but my mind is just running wild with all the possibilities.

I felt it was painful to me but some people just think it's uncomfortable. If it works though to me it is worth it. I am glad I tried. She turned som but kept getting stuck at my belly button area where something seemed to block her. Over all though they can only do it for a little time so it isn't too bad.
